Top 10 Tips for Parents:
1. Make the local church a priority in your family schedule by attending one of the weekend Worship Services.
2. Encourage your student to attend VERB Services on Sunday nights and small groups on Wednesday nights.
3. Have a conversation during the week about the Sunday night talks with your student. Questions to follow for you are on the sermon discussion tab of the website.
4. Connect with your students small group leader and receive their weekly email about what they are teaching each week so you could stay connected and follow up with later on in the week.
5. Take advantage of special events throughout the year such as mission trips and service projects.
6. Serve as a Volunteer. You can play a crucial role as a daytime volunteer in the office, a table leader, a media volunteer or a small group leader at VERB.
7. Connect your student to healthy relationships by plugging them into the life of the church.
8. Utilize the student ministry webpage and keep up to date with our events.
9. Partner with the staff to develop your students spiritual maturity.
10. Model for your student your relationship with Christ. Show them how God is moving in your life. Not just on the mountain tops but in the valley as you struggle with a sin or a trial or a situation. Give them a front row seat to God’s Grace in action.
